SmartPoints
SP3000T[download]
The SmartPoint SP3000T is the standard SmartPoint with an accurate 0.5 degrees Celsius internal Temperature Sensor. With its 2MB data storage and automated Logging & Flushing functionality, the SP3000T can be used both for static monitoring and RF Data Logging.
SP3000T/H[download]
The SmartPoint SP3000T/H is similar to the SP3000T, but also incorporates an integrated 2%RH accurate Relative Humidity sensor.
SP3000T/M[download]
The SmartPoint SP3000T/M is typically used for RTLS and Asset Tracking applications. Besides the standard internal temperature sensor, the SP3000T/M also contains a motion sensor such that it can detect if it moves or not. The motion sensor is integrated with the built-in RTLS functionality of the SmartPoint. As a result, the SP3000T/M will not generate any redundant localization information if it is not moving. The SP3000T/M is also well-suited for theft-prevention applications involving high-value assets, for example in museums.
SP3000T/ERS[download]
The SmartPoint SP3000T/ERS is similar to the SP3000T, but also incorporates an external reed sensor. As such, it is ideally suited to monitor the opening and closing of doors. For example; with SmartPoints deployed inside a cooling area and a SmartPoint SP3000T/ERS outside on the door, the impact of opening and closing doors on temperature can be obtained wirelessly.
Infrastructure
GW3xxx [download]
A Gateway is the core component of a 3000 Series network. It enables MicroRouters to create a multi-hop mesh network and provides an interface to a peripheral device using its RS232 serial interface. Gateways are often used in combination with Connect Boxes.
MR3000 [download]
Together with a Gateway, MicroRouters create a 3000 Series network. Pending on the type of Gateway, dozens of MicroRouters can be added in order to increase the overall radio coverage of the network. Gateways and MicroRouters alike in turn support SmartPoints to transmit their data. In addition to that, Gateways and MicroRouters provide RTLS information, enabling SmartPoints to locate themselves.
Connect Box LAN/WLAN [download]
With Connect Boxes, 3000 Series networks can now be deployed faster and easier than before. A Connect Box is basically a small embedded PC that runs Ambient Connect software and is part of our Connect Framework. The 3000 Series Gateway is attached to the Connect Box using the RS232 interface and the Connect Box goes online by plugging in an Ethernet cable or interfacing it with a nearby WLAN. The Connect Box provides two data streams: 1) Connect API, a XML-based message stream for easy integration, and 2) AmbiLink, a dedicated data stream that runs in parallel and can be used together with Ambient tools for remote maintenance of a network.
