CEO - Jan Vesseur - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Vesseur has over 20 years of experience in finance and general management, in both large corporations such as Philips and Storagetek, as well as start-up environments. The focus of his assignments has always been high tech (electronics, Biotech, IT) and as such he has worked in both development, manufacturing as well as sales environment. Mr. Vesseur has spent 10 years abroad, a.o. Poland, Japan and the US. He has worked almost 3 years in Venture Capital with Life Sciences Partners in Amsterdam and has started his own company in Health Care in 2007. Recently he has worked as Intermim CFO for Liquavista, a spin-off from Philips and held several other interim assignments in the last 2 years. Mr. Vesseur is 45 years young and holds a masters degree in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

CTO - Dr. Paul Havinga - Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer

Prof.dr. Paul J.M. Havinga is a senior researcher and internationally recognized leader in the field of wireless sensor networking. Paul brings over 25 years of experience in wireless networking, distributed computing, and energy efficient architectures. He is the chief architect of Ambients’ technology, and provides a strong technology vision for the company and for the wireless sensing industry. Paul has a significant experience as project manager in several international research projects on wireless sensor networks and ubiquitous computing. In 2001 he initiated the first European project on wireless sensor networks (the EYES project), and has been involved in many national and international projects on wireless sensor networks since then. In May 2007 he received the "ICT Innovation Award" for the successful transfer of knowledge from university to industrial use. In June 2007 he received the "van den Kroonenberg award" for being a successful innovative entrepreneur.

COO - Maurice Magdelijns - Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Magdelijns has over 20 years of international experience in the product operations function for wireless communications products. Maurice spent the larger part of his career in the US. Most recently, Mr. Magdelijns was VP Systems and Services at Harris Stratex Networks Inc (now Aviat Networks) responsible for the turn-key services delivery in wireless communications infrastructure projects. Prior to Harris Stratex, Mr. Magdelijns worked for 13 years at Ericsson in a variety of management roles in product management and development, project management and customer support. Mr. Magdelijns holds and MSEE degree in Telecommunications from the Technical University of Eindhoven.
